Successful IVF – Day 3 Embryo Transfer

She started her stimulation medications, hopeful but realistic. After 3 days, her first ultrasound brought a wave of disappointment—only two follicles were visible, and her left ovary seemed quiet. It was still early, but it was hard not to worry. Her AMH was low at 0.56, which can sometimes mean fewer eggs, but her doctor reminded her that being just 27 worked in her favor.
When it came time for retrieval, they managed to get two eggs—and both fertilized. It wasn’t a big number, but it was still a good sign. Instead of waiting for a day 5 transfer, the clinic opted for a day 3 transfer, and the embryo was right where it should be: 8 cells strong.
Nine days after the transfer, she took a pregnancy test first thing in the morning. A faint pink line appeared—it was positive.
Two days later, the first beta test came back at 770, a strong number. Another two days passed, and the second beta was even higher—over 2000. She has a girl now.
